My Story

My name is Alice Terrell-Bryant, and I am an "Endo Warrior." After years of enduring extremely painful periods, excessively heavy bleeding, and chronic fatigue, I was diagnosed with Stage IV endometriosis. Despite being diagnosed with this chronic disease, I was never told how serious and destructive the illness was.  As a result, I continued to live and endure excruciating pain while my internal organs were being destroyed.

When I was finally treated, nearly all the organs in my abdomen were impacted.  After a 9-hour surgery, part of my liver, stomach, bladder, and intestines were removed.  My appendix, right fallopian tube, and belly button were removed.  Finally, I was on the road to good health.

I had many complications during my seven-month medical leave from my job. My digestive system was permanently changed, and I had to eat differently and be intentional about food selection.  However, the surgery made me feel better than I had felt in nearly twenty years.

Please understand that endometriosis is very destructive.
